Day 1
The survivors of the prison station were: Tannhauser - a Sapien Bounty Hunter, framed by his target Shelley - a 'Brob made from mismatched body parts, left behind after his creator escaped Neo - an adolescent Path on his gap year, involved in a poker scam John Reynolds - a Sapien pilot, convicted of theft Rathnark - an Ulki Engineer, in prison for joy riding Nurse Turtium - a Fael medic with gender and species dysmorphia, arrested after an attack on her partner
Aboard the Independence the android, Io, informed our heroes that although they were not affected by the viral commands, they were still infected. It seemed that their association with the Jarl world had somehow protected them from the mind control. However, a fail safe protocol built into the virus meant that it would degrade after 100 days with the resulting neural flare destroying the brain of the subject. The only way to shut down the virus was by a top level reboot which required the DNA fingerprints of all seven Septicon scientists being inputted into the executor module.
Io provided a list of the scientists and informed them that he had already set a course for the Sol system, where the last whereabouts of the Sapien scientist, Jeff Peterson had been recorded at Callisto Central. The party spent the journey time ridding themselves of their prison clothing and trying unsuccessfully to open a mysterious cryopod in the hold.
Landing on Callisto they headed to Rab's Bar and the Fael wasted no time in seducing a drunk technician. After some brief fumbling, she managed to extort some useful cash from him. Meanwhile Tannhauser had managed to discover that Peterson had left the bar a week ago with Fedoza, a Mondrake working for the legitimate businessman Mondrax. Over at 'The Dome', a nightclub owned by Mondrax, Tannhauser secured a meeting with the Boss in a private booth.
Speaking across a holo-link, Mondrax explained that Fedoza had, until recently, been a loyal employee, but in the last couple of days he had begun behaving strangely. He offered recompense and expenses for the retrieval of Fedoza, without drawing attention to his legitimate business. Dragging Neo away from his new Path friends, the group left the club and headed to Fedoza's first contact.
At the Eastside Medical Centre, Tannhauser decided to speed things along by demanding information at gunpoint from a security guard. After a brief skirmish, he and Nurse Turtium were stunned and restrained by the guards. In the confusion, Neo managed to retrieve some information from the desk console, while the others slipped away.

Following the altercation at the medical centre Tannhauser and Turtium found themselves restrained in hospital beds. While Rathnark and Reynolds laid low from the authorities, it fell to Shelley and Neo to get them out. Neo wasted no time by heading to a net cafe and looking at Path porn, and scanning the information from the medical centre for references to Fedoza. Meanwhile, Shelley shopped for a new TV. Eventually they ran into each other and resolved to get the others out.
Round the back of the centre there was a staff entrance with a security camera above it. Neo asked Shelley to disable it, and the 'Brob obliged by wrenching it off the wall. This prompted a security guard to emerge, who Shelley knocked out with a couple of punches from his massive fists. They deposited the guard in a bin and headed inside.
They soon found Tannhauser and the Nurse, and quickly released them from their rooms. The party then spent some time debating their next move. They discovered a security station, now deserted, and Shelley managed to download security footage by randomly bashing buttons. They returned the unconscious guard, but were then approached by a medic who was alarmed by the scene. Nurse Turtium managed to convince him that they were trying to help, and she and the medic took the guard to an emergency room. Unfortunately their efforts could not save his life (Shelley had hit him very hard), but the Nurse had by now gained the trust of the medic. It emerged that he was involved in a drugs scam with Fedoza. He would steal drugs and pass them to Fedoza, who would take them to the vehicle yard for transport. Tannhauser threatened the medic, stole some money and warned him not to reveal what had happened.
Heading off to the vehicle yard that Mondrax had mentioned the party arrived just in time to witness the owner of the yard, an Ulk, being shot in the back by Fedoza, who escaped in a vehicle. Turtium tried to save the life of the Ulki, but failed. Grabbing key cards from the garage, the party set off in pursuit, Tannhauser on a quad-bike and the others in a sports car. Tannhauser called the Polizi to report the Ulki's murder, and also contacted Mondrax. The boss explained that Fedoza was probably headed to the mansion of Paul Decker, a media mogul, who he had been watching for a while. Although Mondrax indicated he was no fan of was worried that Fedoza might do something foolish and 'noisy' and asked them if they could take him down, but not kill him.
The party arrived at the Decker residence, a large out of town mansion on a hilltop, surrounded by a security fence. The Fael noticed that Fedoza's vehicle must have headed off-road around the back and they found tracks leading to the fence, and over the other side. After disabling Fedoza's vehicle, the party continued with 'Operation Stealth' by driving the sports car at the fence to smash it down, and headed in to the compound...

Back in the city, Reynolds was still incommunicado but Rathnark, having been given the party's location, stumbled across a delivery trunk taking supplies to the Decker mansion. Seizing the opportunity, he concealed himself in the back of the truck.
The others, having breached the fence, were intercepted by an android guard dog. It shot a stunbolt at Tannhauser but Shelley picked it up and deposited it in the nearby swimming pool. They heard a commotion at the front of the house and ran round to investigate. The delivery van had arrived and the drivers were surprised to see Rathnark in the back. After a short scuffle, both delivery men were stunned by Neo, and the Nurse pulled them into the back of the van with her. Leaving her to deal with the drivers, the others headed into the mansion.
Shelley headed right and discovered a dining room and a kitchen with stairs leading to a cellar. Rathnark went left to the lounge and library, and in a study he found some of Decker's unopened mail containing a free pass to an attraction called Holoworld, which he pocketed. Upstairs, Tannhauser located the master bedroom, and in the en suite, Fedoza, who attacked, shooting the bounty hunter with his pistol. The others rushed up and joined the melee, but the Mondrake was fast and managed to avoid most of the attacks. After stunning Tannhauser with a cosh, he stopped, shook his head, and a wave of confusion swept over the party, allowing him to escape through the window.
Shelley leaped out of the window after him, unfortunately landing badly on his head. Neo revived Tannhauser and they shot at Fedoza from the balcony, while he and the 'Brob traded punches. Again, the Mondrake shook his head, and Shelley was compelled to punch Neo and Tannhauser. They tried shooting at the disappearing Mondrake, but he escaped. The 'Brob headed back round the mansion, and, ignoring Rathnark who was coming the other way, went upstairs and punched Neo. The Path used his emerging psion powers to glide safely to the ground, while Tannhauser ran off down the stairs.
The delivery van was rocking about and there were some strange noises coming from within, but eventually Nurse Turtium emerged. Rathnark asked about the drivers, and she said they were tied up at the moment. Eventually, the party reconvened at the car, and set off back to the city. Fedoza attacked again, using his web gun to stick Shelley to the side of the car, but they quickly accelerated away before he could attack again.
In Callisto Central they went back to the ship to rest, and Io attended to Tannhauser and Neo's wounds. Tannhauser then went to contact the Bounty Hunter's Guild where he put out 'Person of Interest' requests on Fedoza and Peterson. He also contacted Mondrax, who told him to get on with it. Shelley had asked Io to analyse the video footage from the health centre. It showed Fedoza receiving drugs from the medic on two occasions, but on the third visit he attacked the medic. Meanwhile, Neo got Tannhauser to sell some stuff he had stolen from the mansion, and they managed to make some credits. They decided to go shopping....

Day 3
After resting and shopping the party were surprised by an announcement from outside and they discovered they were surrounded by Polizi. Rathnark tried to take off, but the spaceport's tractor beam stopped them. After stowing their weapons in a locker Io showed them, they surrendered. They were handcuffed and bundled into a van. (NOTE I said Io was taken with you - he wasn't. He somehow managed to convince the Polizi that he was a simple menial droid, so remained on the ship.)
The Polizi delivered them back to Decker's mansion, and it became apparent that he had a lot of influence over the authorities. When the Police had gone, Decker's men took them down in to the basement, through a hidden door in the wine cellar. Before he could trap them, Shelley punched one of the guards, and a fight ensued. Neo managed to knock the handcuff device out of Decker's hands, breaking it and releasing everyone. They eventually subdued Decker, and threatened him so he deactivated all the android guards.
In the next room, they discovered tanks containing Decker's pets, along with a Bakree who had been employed as a technician and managed to annoy Decker (Martin's new character). They used one of Decker's own creatures, an 'Earworm', to coerce him into giving them money and information. They allowed him to contact his Psion associate, Mr Su, who arrived and immediately stunned the party with his powerful mind abilities.
Tannhauser had miraculously managed to resist the mental blast, and he escaped, lying in wait for Mr Su. He shot at him and succeeded in stunning the Path. Finally they had the upper hand, and after reviving the others, Tannhauser continued to threaten Decker. They forced him to use his people to seek out Peterson and Fedoza, and also sent messages with incriminating information to the Bounty Hunter Guild. Decker's goons had no success finding Peterson, but with Mr Su's help managed to bring in Fedoza...

While they waited, Shelley took the See Slug as a pet, and Neo made friends with the Gibbeon - a chameleonic monkey. Decker's minions arrived with Fedoza and Mr Su removed the Nylak parasite which had been causing his aberrant behaviour. Tannhauser received a message from the Bounty Hunters and the power was then cut, allowing the party to escape. They ran through the grounds of the mansion and discovered that a cordon of Polizi was surrounding the compound, but one group were stunned, allowing them to get to the waiting shuttle. They were extracted successfully by Avon, from the Bounty Hunter's Guild, who explained that Tannhauser's insurance premiums were now a lot higher.
Despite encouragement from Fedoza and Mondrax himself, Tannhauser refused to hand over the incriminating evidence on Decker. Fedoza explained that he had helped Peterson find safe refuge on an abandoned platform and from there, passage to Myth, the Mondrake's system. Mondrax paid them and refueled the ship. Reynolds rejoined the party but was suffering from pustular blobitis so had to retire to his cabin. They decided to check out the platform before heading to Myth. In the asteroid belt, they discovered it, embedded into the side of a large asteroid. In the derelict buildings they encountered scumoids (motile space fungi) and crabacles (limpet-like crabs). Their new friend the Bakree failed to fix the faulty generator, but Shelley gave it a kick and it spluttered back to life. They confirmed that Peterson had indeed been here, and searched for information on the whereabouts of the Ulki and Mondrake members of Septicon. The search mentioned the theme park 'Holoworld': Shelley wanted to go, and Ragnark revealed he had fortuitously stolen a free pass from Decker's mansion.
The adventurers set off on the two day journey to Myth, via the Ulki homeworld, Mithrak. There, they found that the Ulk scientist had left on a science vessel 20 days ago, and not been seen since. They went off to use the high tech facilities of the Ulki to upgrade their equipment...

Day 6 After stocking up on supplies the party headed off to the Myth system and checked in to Holoworld using their stolen multipass. They discovered that the Mondrake they were seeking was a lead developer who sometimes met with 'winners' of the game, but this would take weeks to complete. There was however an 'easter egg' trail of clues which provided a shortcut to the endgame.
The party chose their characters and entered the Holoworld fantasy zone. They fought their way through a dark forest, killing dark elves and spiders before eventually defeating a group of trolls. In their treasure hoard they found a golden egg containing 'the first clue'.
Further on they entered the mountain tombs where they encountered skeletons and zombies before facing an army of goblins and a cave troll. Despite the troll proving a fearsome opponent that nearly killed some of the characters, the adventurers prevailed and proceeded to loot the corpses...

The adventurers continued through the fantasy zone, encountering more monsters and also having to solve riddles and puzzles to gain rewards. They fought orcs and a balrog, followed by lizard folk and finally a dragon. In the final cave there was a portal to the next zone, but by solving a complicated puzzle they managed to discover the code relating to symbol on the walls, leading them to the endgame.
The final task was 'the vortex', where they had to cross a grid and avoid stepping into the disintigrating vortex. By purchasing a cheese sandwich with most of their gold, most of the party managed to cross safely, apart from Cri'tar, who was 'evaporated'.

Cri'tar ended up in the gift shop where he purchased memorabilia whilst the others, having successfully survived 'the vortex', found themselves in a chamber where they were given medals and greeted by Zebaxxi, the creator of the games and one of the Septicon scientists. This turned out to be a hologram and recorded message. Reynolds managed to contact Cri'tar and retrieve him from the gift shop.
After an extensive search they discovered a door covered by a hologram into the next chamber. Here was the real Zebaxxi, killed by some kind of mould deadly only to Mondrakes. An open package from Peterson appeared to have contained the toxic fungus. By interrogating the android they discovered that Peterson had been here recently and accessed the console. From this they found a message from Gorram - the Ulki scientist - about his trip on a science ship called the Aeschylus to Groombridge.
They looted the room and found a holobelt, holowand and a prototype cloaking device for the ship. They managed to retrieve their equipment and leave Holoworld without further incident, although when they arrived at the system staging post they were hailed by a group of well armed ships that appeared to be Mob vessels (criminal scavengers). By using their new cloaking device they managed to avoid capture and head to Groombridge.
They spent the next day travelling, resting and researching. The party discovered that their destination was an icy planet, so they purchased warmer clothing from a vending machine at the fuelling post. Heading to the surface they found that the Aeschylus had crashed on the planet. As it was unsafe to land right next to the crash site, they landed nearby and trekked across towards the freighter. As they neared it they were approached by four Groomigans (the natives) riding an huge armoured lizard. Neo tried to project a friendly message into their minds, but the primitive people mistook this for witchcraft and attacked...

The Groomigans threw spears and the party returned fire. Shelley punched the huge lizard, landing mighty blows on it's armoured head. Cri'tar fought one of the warriors and managed to hamstring it with his electron dagger. Neo unleashed bursts of psionic energy which eventually defeated all the attackers, but left him exhausted, and also bleeding from being gored by the giant lizard.
The freighter had crashed into the side of a mountain, near a massive crevasse, and they found a shuttle craft had landed nearby. Shelley was told to get inside so he proceeded to rip the door off. They discovered that a small team of four had been sent to investigate the crashed freighter. They found ladders and ropes up the side of the Aeschylus, presumably used by this team to enter the ship. They found a boulder had broken a hole into the top level of the ship, though which they could enter the frozen hulk.
The party made their way through the ship where they discovered the frozen bodies of several crew members, some of which seemed to have died before the crash. While the lifts were inoperable and many doors sealed, they found a ladder leading downwards. On the level below they found more corpses, one of which attacked them. The ice zombie was soon dispatched, but the team began to get hallucinations and paranoid thoughts. Finding more bodies, many of which seemed to have either attacked each other or killed themselves, the party became increasingly distressed and plagued by visions.
Tannhauser used his camera drone to scout out the lower levels and found a lift access to the mid deck. Neo used his psion powers to detect a sentience in the engine room. After receiving messages, apparently from other party members (some of which were definitely not real), the adventurers were separated. Shelley ran off and hid in the shuttle craft. Rathnark was busy modding the scanners. Cri'tar was trying to start fires. Nursie managed to use her psychology skills to talk some sense into Tannhauser, who decided to head to the lower deck and find the Ulki scientist on his own. Neo followed him, unseen, and contacted Reynolds who was back at the ship.
To access the lowest level, Tannhauser had to climb down a ladder which was hanging above the destroyed base of the ship, below which was a massive drop into the crevasse. As he descended, he slipped on the ice, and only just managed to grab the last rung and avoid falling to his death....

Shelley, cowering in the shuttle, was contacted by Io, who encouraged him to return to the ship. When he got there, Io scanned him and discovered a tiny brain spider which had crawled in his ear and appeared to be the source of the paranoia. After a few failed attempts, the android managed to remove it with a sonic pulse.
Meanwhile, Rathnark had produced a crude motion detector, which detected moving objects in the same room. He met up with Cri'tar and the nurse and they headed to the lower level. Tannhauser had managed to jump from the bottom of the ladder and spent time melting through an ice-covered door. Once through, he discovered the physics lab and the corpse of the Ulki scientist they were seeking. In the engine room he found the red spider queen - the source of the brain spiders - attached to the hyperdrive. The small amount of heat generated began to cause the crashed ship to shift and slide towards the chasm. The spider queen blasted Tannhauser with a heat pulse before he escaped the room.
Tannhauser raced back towards the others and shouted that he had the DNA they needed. They headed back through the decks as the vessel started to slide into the crack. On the second level, Neo used his psion powers to speed their progress up a ladder, but it was clear they weren't going to get out in time. Shelley, who had headed back to help, grabbed hold of the ship to try and stop it, but it was too heavy for him. Tannhauser has the presence of mind to call Io, who took off and brought the Independence around to nudge the freighter back on to the ledge. The larger ship's momentum was too great, but as the party reached the top level they were able to jump off and land on the top of their ship. Rathnark nearly didn't make it, but Neo used his psion powers to aid him. Tannhauser missed the jump badly and slid down on to the wing as the freighter started it's fall into the chasm. Rathnark used his drone to catch Tannhauser, but he slipped again and was only saved by the combined efforts of the drone and Neo. He just managed to make it on to the top of the ship as the freighter crashed down.
In the safety of the ship, Io was able to remove the parasitic spiders from the rest of the party. They decided to loot the wreckage and managed to recover serviceable laser cannons for their ship and various useful kit. The Ulki's hand, as well as unlocking the second scientist code, had a signet ring which contained some data. Cri'tar discovered from this that the Ulki had been on board this scientific vessel when the virus experiment took place. He had received a package from PicaThreeVika, the Bakree scientist, who was listed as working at a lab in the Racolla system. With the location of another scientist, the crew set a course to the Bakree homeworld...

Day 10
Landing at the Bakree city, Rathnark obtained parts and managed to install the second laser cannon on the gun turret. Neo went partying, Cri'tar went shopping, and Tannhauser came up with a cunning plan to infiltrate the lab where they knew the Bakree scientist was working. When they finally arrived there however, the lab was deserted so they could enter without subterfuge.
Inside there was a large machine, which seemed to be damaged, and a body on a plinth with tubes and machinery around it. Before they could investigate further, a pulse of energy from the machine caused the whole party to shrink by a factor of a thousand! Now only 2mm tall, they slowly made their way across the floor and made contact with a group of scientists who had also been shrunk. They were trapped by an earwig the size of a truck. The party attacked the creature, blasting it with energy weapons, and were helped by a Brob security guard who had been hiding with the scientists. Shelley leaped up and dealt the insect a powerful blow, it grabbed Rathnark in it's pincers, but was eventually killed by fire from Tannhauser.
The rescued scientists explained that the patient was Nathan Khan, a famous Psion scientist. Three teams, one including the Bakree they were seeking, had entered his body in miniaturised vessels to work on his brain, pancreas and arm. Something had gone wrong, causing the Psion to emit an energy pulse which damaged the machine. They proposed that the part make their way to the table top and use the command vessel to enter the body and find the missing scientists. Meanwhile they would try and fix the miniaturisation machine.
The group began to climb the pipes under the bench to access the table top. They encountered a massive slug, which threatened to knock them off, but Tannhauser used his Psion power to control it, so they climbed aboard and rode it to the top. As they reached the plug hole a gigantic spider appeared and attacked. They opened fire, but the creature pounced on Cri'tar and bit him. Shelley heroically jumped on to the monster's back and punched it so hard that it was knocked out, allowing the party to finish it. The spider's poison was killing Cri'tar however, but the medical skills of their new friend Grog, saved him from death.
The party had made it to the top of the table and prepared to be miniaturised again for the second part of their journey...

The adventurers crossed the table top and boarded the sub. The scientists launched them in to the body, and set off to repair the miniaturisation machine. The party were shrunk 1000 times further and were now only 2 micrometres tall. Entering an artery, they were quickly propelled to the first location: a nanotech device in the patients hand.
Expecting to find the team of scientists working on the hand, they were immediately attacked by the mini-sub and by a scientists in a diving suit, who seemed unable to control the machinery. The sub fired on them, but Rathnark's piloting skills managed to dodge most of the blasts. The diver attached himself to the side of their craft and started to cut through the hull. Tannhauser ordered the sub pilot out of the vessel and once he was clear, blasted it to bits with the laser cannon. Rathnark manoeuvred the sub alongside the wall of the nanotech device and expertly dislodged the diver. They ordered him out of the rogue suit and picked up both of the scientists, allowing them in to the spare mini-sub attached to their vessel, but not inside fully. Apparently the tech had gone haywire shortly after they entered the body, probably due to some kind of nanotech virus.
After a journey through the heart, they were propelled towards the pancreas where a similar fate had befallen the second team. They managed to rescue a Brob, by ordering him out of the sub and again picking him up once they had destroyed it. The other scientist was engulfed in a mass of antibodies. Shelley grabbed hold of his helmet with the electron manipulators, but accidentally pulled it off, causing the unfortunate scientist to be immediately digested.
Finally the team reached the brain, where the last team were working. The sub attacked them, followed by a multitude of bacteria, which attached to the ship and began to dissolve the hull. Tannhauser once again blasted the sub once the scientist was rescued, but the Bakree they were seeking was trapped in a mass of antibodies. Grog frantically tore at the protein strands with the electron manipulators, but the bacteria were rapidly destroying the ship. The party decided to electrify the hull, so Cri'tar set to work rewiring. Meanwhile Shelley went outside and began punching the bacteria off, successfully removing some of them. Cri'tar's tech skills were impressive and he managed to electrify the hull, blasting off the rest of the bacteria, just as Grog, helped by Neo's telekinesis, rescued the scientist's body. Grog grabbed Shelley too as they reversed out of the chamber before the white cells could reach them.
They had managed to save four scientists and recover the body (and vital DNA) of the Bakree. Now all they had to do was to get back to normal size....

Rathnark piloted the sub back to the entry point and they returned to the table top, now back to 2mm high. A bluebottle landed next to them, but was quickly dipatched by Grog and Shelley. The scientists were grateful to have been rescued and shared their theories about the malfunctions - they suspected the nanotech bomb originated from a toy that Pika had on his dashboard.
The other two scientists up in the control box reported that the machine had been fixed now, so Neo entered it and was enlarged, but only partly - he was now 2cm tall and at the base of the machine on the floor. The scientists asked them to search for missing components - a chip and a screw- that must have fallen on to the lab floor. Neo used his hover ability to scout around, while Shelley asked Rathnark if he could make some kind of hang-glider from the remains of the fly. Rathnark patched something together and Shelley duly leapt off the table top. The hang-glider instantly broke, but Shelley's tiny size meant he fell relatively slowly so he was not injured. Rathnark joined him by jumping off too, while the others went through the machine and were enlarged to 2cm.
Cri'tar spotted one of the components and headed off towards it, followed by Grog and Neo, who was still hovering. Shelley and Rathnark followed but were ten times smaller, so didn't make much progress. A white lab rat emerged from a crack under the desk and ran towards them. It was about the size of a double decker bus, although to Shelley and Rathnark it was ten times that size. Cri'tar fired at it and Grog hit it with his staff, while Neo blasted ineffectively from above. The rat seized Grog and bit his arm badly. The party continued to attack, but were no match for the huge creature. It bit Grog again and he was nearly killed by the vicious wound. Cri'tar ducked underneath the rat and, seeing it was a male, whacked it's genitals with his electro-sword. The creature squealed in pain and ran off.
Neo pumped Grog full of drugs to heal some of his wounds and they headed off across the floor. The managed to locate the screw and chip, and Neo ferried these, along with Shelley and Rathnark back to the table top. The scientists restored the machine to full working order and the two tiniest party member were transformed back to normal size. As the other wouldn't fit in the small end of the machine, Shelley and Rathnark had to throw them up into the machine so they could shrink to 2mm before they could be restored, but eventually everyone, including the scientists were back to normal. Tannhauser, who had been uncharacteristically quiet and had remained with the scientists, used his negotiating skills to get a reward. They received some nanotech bots that could rapidly repair damage, and some experimental psion bots too.
One of the scientists recalled that the malfunction originated from a cockroach toy that belonged to Pika. After some mind-probing from Neo, it was discovered that he had been sent this toy by BorrisJakob, another of the Septicon scientists. After heroically searching through the bins for the packaging this was confirmed and Borris located as working at 'Dreamworks' on Altair 2. It seemed that this would be their next destination...

After Tannhauser had extracted more recompense from the scientists and Nathan Khan, they left the lab and returned to the ship. They spent a while shopping and upgraded their weapons and armour, as well as welcoming Grog as a member of their team.
As they finally left the system and set course for Altair, they were surprised by a large battlecruiser, which blasted them with an EMP weapon, disabling many of the ship systems. They were then trapped in a tractor beam and pulled in to the hold of the larger ship. As they neared, they could see the battlecruiser had bits of metal and skeletons welded to the outside and was an amalgam of scavenged parts, so they guessed it was a mob ship.
In the hold, the mob attached cables to the ship and stunned most of the party. Grog and Shelley however, were strong enough to resist this and just pretended to be stunned. The mob boarded them and began to drag the unconscious party off the ship. They seemed particularly interested in the two Brobs. Grog activated his stunstaff and knocked out two of the pirates. Shelley jumped up and punched the other two. As the others recovered, they joined in the melee and soon all the boarding party were dealt with.
A voice outside commanded more forces forward, but Neo and Tannhauser threw grenades to repel them. Tannhauser was near the ramp, and used his compulsor power to influence the nearby mob pirates to attack each other. Chaos ensued as they all fired on each other, the commander tried to exert control but failed. Soon only a lieutenant remained, the commander having retreated. Shelley punched him hard and he dropped his rifle, but was still wielding a viscous electrowhip which damaged Shelley considerably. Although a tough opponent, he was eventually defeated by the combined efforts of the party.
They freed the ship from its bindings and Rathnark took off and allowed Tannhauser to use the laser cannon to blast hell out of the inside of the ship. More troops arrived but were quickly incinerated by the powerful ship weaponry.
