And that's how you deal with the Godkiller.
The party once they realised that they would have to deal with the Godkiller coming to stomp the Spyre flat started to brainstorm as if their lives deoended on it...
Because they did.
After many different plans were mooted, they finalised on:
1. Use a cubic gate to go the one of the good aligned planes: the cubic gate they had, had once facet attuned to Celestia - which was in fact their first choice.
2. Once on Celestia, use the other power of the cubic gate to call the Godkiller to them.
3. Use a wish spell to find out the True Name of the Godkiller as this was the absolute only way it could be done, according to the Archmage.
4. Deal with whatever is left after the thousand-foot tall skeleton has been pulled through a 20 foot wide portal.
Th plan went extremely well: the Godkiller arrived in Celestia as a shower of bone shards that would have obliterated anyone close by - so it was very good the Landree had teleported them all a mile away.
The Godiller was not done though - it reformed itself quickly, albeit it at half its former height. Starting to stride towards them with death in its gaze, they went to backup plan A - and used a scroll of Summon Tarrasque.
The Tarrasque and the Godkiller started to beat the absolute hell out of each other, and eventually the Tarrasque was victorious. At which point they realised that the bright light in the sky was not in fact the sun, but was the Archmage in the form of a titan or someother creature - he was easily 40 feet tall, glowing, flying and muscular and exuding inane amounts of power. He came plummeting down and pierced the head of the Tarrasque with an immense spear, which then proceeded to drain all magic from the Tarrasque, and the Godkiller... - and all items that the party had on them that were made by him.
In a very short space of time they had to decide how to react to this drawing of power by the Archmage, and most of them offered up all items to be drained without putting up a fight. Except for Nazir who tried to hide.
From a being ascending to Godhood.
He had the power from his items drained anyway and was cursed with never being able to be stealthy again - ever.
As a gesture of thanks to Landree, the Archmage ported them back to the Spyre, and then completed his ascension, using all the stored power from every single spell he had cast and item he had created over a hundred years to become the new god of magic.

Post credits scene: The Aftermath.
The party are in the Spyre... - but it now has no magic at all: the halls are cold and empty - and the air is then, seeing as how they are at the top of a mountain.
They have no idea if anyone else from the Clan has survived, but they do know that everything and everyone they have ever known has changed forever, and that the Clan is no longer a force on the world stage. There are still ork armies rampaging around the Empire and the Dinosaur Lands, and no one knows if the Lichlord was defeated - and the hordes of undead are still out there.
Then there are more immediate concerns - what to do about food and somewhere warm to sleep tonight?
