Regarding the lack of little 5E modules (as WotC only seem to be interested in large campaign style adventures) ...this guy has made a list (and even reviewed several of them): LIST OF 5E ADVENTURESThere still seems to be a lack of printed products, but there's a surprising amount of electronic stuff here (quite a few of which are free/pay what you want - and might be ideal for the young'uns to take a look at).

Found this today ...it basically lets you download/print your own spellbook cards (similar to those that I bought for my cleric) and monster cards. hardcodex.ru/

Hi Folks, Here are some resources I found on the web. Fifth Edition SRD: Basically the entire players handbook. Useful if you do not have one. www.5esrd.com/Spells by Damage type. Some spells have multiple dmage types and are included in more than one list docs.google.com/document/d/1Etc96j5GkjH28I7eb4porqFS2XzTJtK0P6DHla7_bzU/edit?pli=1Spell damage comparisons docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FNmPGzRNgnACkNsUIlFDBoeiiLsuzq94fBjwkoHKm18/edit#gid=124665534Combination of Spell damage and Type. The damage looks about right on most spells. The damage for spells over several turns is more difficult to check as you need to make lots of assumptions. Looking at the formulae used the damage looks fair. Some spells e.g. Eldritch blast appear under powered as the totals do not include the stat bonus for the eldritch invocation "Agonising Blast". Similarly Spiritual weapon is under valued as it is a bonus attack on top of any other attacks and does not include the wisdom bonus. DD 5e spell damage comparison.xlsx (40.51 KB) Spells grouped in different ways www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?471765-A-Compilation-of-Useful-Spell-Lists-(Leugren)There are some surprises. You only need a small number of offensive spells. The apex single target spells Magic missile (level 1), Blight (level 4), Disintegrate (level 6). The apex spells for area effects are Thunderwave, Shatter, Fireball and Lightning bolt, Meteor swarm. Magic missile beats Scorching ray as Magic missile hits more often. Moonbeam (level 2) is slightly more powerful than call lightning (level 3) has fewer restrictions and is Con save rather than Dex save i.e. bypasses uncanny dodge. The apex psychic damage spell at any level is Dissonant Whispers (level 1). There is a strong focus on elemental magic particularly fire. All of the spells use classic Con, Dex and Wis saves. Considering all classes have proficiency in one of the classic saves and one of Str, Int, Cha i.e. there is scope for developing new spells with saves in Str, Int, Chr. Save Proficiencies Con: Barbarian, Fighter, Sorcerer Dex: Bard, Monk, Ranger, Rogue Wis: Cleric, Druid, Paladin, Warlock, Wizard Str: Barbarian, Fighter, Monk, Ranger Int: Druid, Rogue, Wizard Cha: Bard, Cleric, Paladin, Sorcerer, Warlock Damage saves Con: Acid, Poison, Cold, Thunder, Necrotic Dex: Fire, Electricity, Wis: Psychic, Radiant Regards Pericles

The lovely people at Wizards of the Coast produce 'Unearthed Arcana' at least every month, which is revised D&D material, mostly new class options. It's pretty good actually. One that might possibly be of use in Ragnarok is this one on mass combat rules: Mass combat

I saw this list on Reddit of bonus actions. Some classes have more obvious bonus actions than others.
For spell caster the main source of bonus actions is spells cast as a bonus action or once cast granting a bonus action for example Spiritual weapon (Cleric first level) is a bonus action to cast and grants a bonus action for the next minute. Recently Unearthed Arcana boosted the number of summoning spells with relatively powerful summons. If you have one of these you can command the creature as a bonus action.
Dont forget you also have reactions. I have not looked for a similar list of reactions by class but I am sure someone has compiled a list.

Some more Resources. Effects causing conditions.
Reactions
Suggestion further down the list
Minumum Build: Fighter 4 (Battle Master), wielding rapier + shield or 2x shortsword Reaction Options: - Defensive Duelist feat - Riposte maneuver - Sentinel feat
If they hit you, use Defensive Duelist to make them miss. If they miss you, use Riposte to hit them back. If they attack someone else, use Sentinel to hit them again.
Never go a round without a reaction trigger!
