What Kezlon learned...
- The beastling confirmed that the enemy found and reopened the old dwarf tunnel (which runs beneath the Eriathon Mountains) several decades ago.
- Since then, small bands have been using the tunnel to gain secret access into the elven lands.
- However, it recently collapsed (when they attempted to widen it) and one of the old slaves (i.e. elves that have been in captivity for many a long year) escaped, and is thought to have fled south.
- They refer to this slave as the one-eyed elf.
- Several of those beastlings & wildlings that were on this side of the collapse have journeyed south (following the 'trail' left by Burzhon - to an old ruined keep), to give Meccas (a great chieftain) the news.
- Meccas was not well pleased - and not only by the news of the collapse ....as this 'escapee' would know of the existence of the tunnel and it's whereabouts.
- However, Meccas seemed to know a lot about this one-eyed elf, and sent a group of his 'men' to keep watch on a woman's house (in case 'one-eye' should try to return thither?).
- Meccas then accompanied the newcomers across the river to join with Burzhon - to revise their plan/tactics.
- Once there, Burzhon was instructed to seek out and wake Ro'gor (who appears to a an ancient creature, and possibly a messenger of sorts ...though one that cannot be wholly trusted), and to send any captives back to the 'tunnel' to help speed up the re-opening process.
- However, as before - should any prisoners seem to be of particular importance, they should be sent to the 'elf ruin' for interrogation first.
- Burzhon also informed Meccas that he has been infiltrating a couple of the local villages (as planned), to spread dissension and sow his deceits.
- After the recent skirmish on the road, Meccas headed back across the river, and left Burzhon's 'men' to take their most recent captive (i.e. The elf messenger) to meet Ro'gor (as this Ro'gor creature is still weak, and needs to feed to regain its strength).
THEREFORE IT WOULD SEEM THAT...
- Vandil would have probably been taken to the 'ruins' for interrogation.
- He may still be there - but there is a chance that he has been taken north by now.
- The 'one eyed elf' knows the location of the tunnel ...but he has thus far eluded capture.
- It only seemed to be necessary to wake this Ro'gor creature after the tunnel had collapsed.
