Episode 34 - Fall of the Serpent Queen
Jesus ran quickly into the room and engaged the queen, injuring her. She responded by enchanting him, causing him to flee. She then caused poison gas to fill the room, killing most of the summoned blights and damaging the party members. The queen then struck them with deadly rays of light, knocking Seijin and Ramas unconscious and nearly killing Rimir too. With half the party down, things looked grim for the adventurers.
Rimir dodged around the corner and revived Ramas with his magic, allowing the cleric to heal Seijin. Tarik and Gragga fought with the queen, and the monk managed to stun her, preventing her casting any more spells. Seijin engaged one of the guards, as the other guards attacked Jesus and Gragga, with the former's armour and the latter's rage protecting them from most harm. Tarik continued to strike the queen and Jesus held her down, allowing Gragga to strike her dead. The guards were soon killed by the combined actions of the adventurers.
After taking a breather, they looted the queens quarters and found a chest of treasure. Jesus discovered one of his former company, Barabas, still alive, and he, along with the rest of the slaves, were fed and armed by the party. They then transported out into the desert, after attempting to destroy the incoming teleport circle from the palace.
Having defeated the Yuan-ti, the party camped in the desert and planned their revenge on Donfornos...

I omitted to say that in the Serpent Queen's lair you also found a black stone which radiates magic. It looks like it is a broken piece of a larger stone, which would be about the size of a coconut, made of something like obsidian.
I will also point out that you have a feeling you have forgotten something....

Episode 35 - The Plot Thickens
After leaving the Serpent Temple the party realised they had still not recovered the fourth of Kel-Drakkar's heart pieces. By scanning the desert using detect magic, Rimir was able to quickly locate a teleportation circle, and so they returned inside. During another search of the treasure chamber, Seijin spotted the outline of a door and Tarik and Gragga were able to use their knowledge of stonework to open it. Inside was a small chamber containing three boxes, along with the 'space wand' that Tom had modified. One box held a piece of skin with some hair attached, which Seijin guessed was of gnoll origin. Another contained two flasks of magical elixir. The other box was opened by Tarik alone, who correctly guessed it would be trapped and was nearly killed by the symbol of death on it, and held the final piece of the necromancer's heart.
The party returned to Calthazar, and as it was the new moon they decided to question whoever turned up to trade crystals, as the warlock had told them. Rimir disguised himself as the warlock and the rest of the party lurked nearby, undercover, with varying degrees of success. When the merchant arrived there seemed something unusual about him, and when Gragga observed through the Eye of Jotun he could see the true form of the creature: humanoid, with an exposed brain surrounded by writhing tentacles. The creature sensed something was amiss, and used a mind trick to disappear from view, fooling everyone except Seijin. He chased after the creature, and Tarik used his ki powers to find it's location, allowing him to hit it with his staff and hold it in place. Seijin transformed into a constrictor snake and also held it fast. However, the creature had an amorphous body, and it was able to squeeze out of their grip. Nevertheless, the party took the opportunity to hit it with everything they had, battering the creature with relentless attacks. The thing retaliated by emitting a psychic scream, which stunned all except Tarik, who continued to attack the creature, eventually subduing it.
Rimir had been distracting the crowd, and so the party took the creature into their hideout without arousing too much suspicion. Jesus conjured a rope, which led to an extra-dimensional space where they took the creature to question it. After attempting to escape and being pummelled again, the thing finally allowed itself to be interrogated, disseminating quite a lot of information by dumping images directly into the brains of the party. It was discovered that this race were enemies of the other 'dragon riders' and had been responsible for the fake crystal 'organic bomb' which destroyed the departing craft and created the tentacle monster. They had conspired with Kel-Drakkar, the Serpent Queen and a demonic gnoll named Crat'zor, who were all subordinate to Mordreth, and described by the creature as 'useful'. He explained that the crystals were a highly concentrated source of power, and would enable them (or their enemies) to fuel their weapons and ships, as well as unlock new possibilities. The world of Jarl had an unprecedented amount of these crystals, and so control of the world was highly desirable. They had already collected a large amount of crystals, provided by the three minions of Mordreth, and also recently had a delivery from the rescued dragon rider and Meldar, the dwarf priest. Screeching to be freed, and threatening to unleash 'the full wrath of the Vilak', the creature was executed by the party.
Anxious to return to Crag Crorgar, the party nevertheless determined to deal with Donfornos before they left. They asked Philander for advice, and he allowed then to peruse some of his rarer tomes, in which they discovered that rakshasas are master of illusion and deception, are highly resistant to magic, but are vulnerable to blessed piercing weapons, or those wielded by creatures of pure heart....

Wasn't there also something about a war kicking off to the north, with the Elves involved?

Episode 36 - "Holy Water, Batman!"
Jesus and Rimir drank the elixirs, which gave them improved speed and new powers, despite also making them ill. The party began extensive preparations for their attack on Donfornos. Ramas and Rimir made holy water, and Jesus practised fighting with a bat glued to his head with spider web. The next day, after going over the plan many times, they ambushed Donfornos on his way to the games.
Seijin ordered his summoned needle blights to hurl vials of holy water at the rakshasa, which damaged the fiend considerably. The company of wolves could not harm him, however. As Seijin took aim with his bow, he was hit by a crossbow bolt from an adjacent rooftop, which was fired with such deadly accuracy that it struck him down immediately. Tarik launched a flurry of attacks at Donfornos, impaling him with a spear and stunning him with rapid punches. Jesus emerged from his extra-dimensional hiding place and used his rapiers to pierce the rakshasa's body, killing him. The startled guards could not penetrate Jesus's armour, and he turned his attacks on them. Tarik bounded up on to the building and located the assassin, who had been spying on the party for Donfornos. More swift attacks from the monk stunned him before he could attack. Meanwhile, Gragga charged the guards, but missed and made an angry dwarf-shaped hole in a wall. Jesus and Rimir finished one of the guards, Gragga emerged and badly wounded the other, and Seijin turned into a sabre-toothed tiger and pounced down on him, crushing him to death. Up on the roof, Tarik battered the assassin so hard that he was forced backwards and fell to his death.
The victorious adventurers quickly bundled the bodies out of sight, and Rimir took on Donfornos's appearance. With the others acting as 'guards', they headed back to their palace...

Episode 37 - The Witch is Back
Rimir did a convincing impression of Donfornos and persuaded the servants that he would be going away for a while. The party had a big feast and looted the palace of valuables. In the morning the party concluded their business in Calthazar, and Seijin and Tarik spent a large proportion of their funds on more magical tattoos. After briefly stopping off at the Centaur's camp, the party headed north on the carpet towards Crag Crorgar.
The journey was long and uncomfortable. On the evening of the second day they were suddenly ambushed by two ghosts and the Night Hag, who was flying on a broomstick. One of the ghosts caused Rimir and Gragga to freeze in terror, and then the hag hit the party with a lightning bolt, nearly killing Ramas. Seijin used his thorn whip, and yanked the hag off her broomstick, causing her to fall out of sight. Tarik grabbed the broom, and he, Jesus and Seijin continued to attack the ghosts. Ramas conjured a storm and blasted one apart with a potent stroke of lightning, and with the other soon destroyed, Seijin piloted the carpet downwards and searched for the hag.
When they landed, the hag had assumed the form of a hobbit, but this did not fool Tarik, who used his ki senses to see her true form. The hag caused Ramas to fall into a magical sleep, but the others unleashed a barrage of attacks, wounding her severely. Rimir used his magic to fill her mind with terrors, causing her to flee, and this allowed the others to attack her, with Jesus skewering her before she could escape. The party then rested, and argued over who would try out their new broomstick...

Episode 38 - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
As the party approached Crag Crorgar, they had a feeling of impending doom, and sure enough the castle gates had been blasted open, allowing in a horde of undead. The dwarf prince and the last of his companions were holding back the horde outside the chamber where Lady Glissandell was recovering. Kel-Drakkar himself, atop his dragon and flanked by two wraith servants, advanced upon the party, sure in his invulnerability, as his heart was still not reformed.
Rimir disguised himself as the hag and sped off on the broomstick towards the castle. Seijin turned into a chameleon and got Rook to carry him away. The others, riding the carpet, were hit by a blast of acid from the dragon, which left Ramas clinging to life and injured Gragga severely. Tarik leapt from the carpet and landed on the dragon's head from where he delivered a mighty blow, stunning the creature and sending it falling to earth. He and Jesus attempted to attack the necromancer, but to no avail. As the wraiths closed in, the dragon hit the ground and Tarik and Jesus continued to attack it. Gragga revived Ramas with a potion, and they were then able to engage the wraiths. Kel-Drakkar continued to assail Tarik and the others with deadly spells and was unharmed by any of their attacks.
Meanwhile, Rimir had reached the stronghold, and flashed his dwarf band of honour at Borg, who ordered his men to allow him inside. Lady Glissandell, still weak from her ordeal, was guarded by two Dwarves of the Iron Brotherhood, the elf emissary Elandor, and the party's old friend Knight. Rimir handed over the final heart piece and she was able to reassemble it. Just as she was about to stab it however, Elandor moved to attack her. Fortunately Rimir was faster, and managed to blast him back, and he was quickly subdued by the dwarf monks. Glissandell pierced the completed heart with a dagger, and told Rimir to return to the battle.
Kel-Drakkar was weakened and finally vulnerable to attacks. Tarik impaled the dragon with his rod, and Seijin killed it with a bolt of lightning. Tarik and Jesus then fought the necromancer, and, despite being vulnerable, he was still a deadly opponent, his shield and armour deflecting most attacks. He uttered a profane word, which caused Gragga to be blinded and killed Rimir's familiars. Gragga struck out wildly with his axe, obliterating one of the wraiths, before blundering off in the wrong direction. Kel-Drakkar unleashed a virulent disease upon Tarik, which weakened him, and then the fiend produced poison gas which left the monk and Ramas dying. Seijin blasted Kel-Drakkar with a powerful lightning bolt, but remained hidden in chameleon form. Rimir then returned on his broomstick and hit the necromancer with an eldritch blast, finally defeating him and destroying all his undead minions. Ramas and Tarik were revived, and the battle was over.
In the aftermath, the party decapitated the orcish fiend and returned to the fortress as heroes. The dwarves and Glissandell were overjoyed and thanked the party for their brave efforts, especially Rimir, who had saved her and defeated Kel-Drakkar. Knight explained that he had been suspicious of Elandor, whose behaviour had changed after the recovery of the man from the crashed dragon ship. Seijin spotted a silver slug-like creature lodged in the elf's ear, and he removed this and sealed it in a jar. The dwarf prince said that Meldar had initially guarded the lady day and night, but a few days ago he had abruptly left with the recovered dragon-rider, taking the crystals to deliver to the visitors from the sky.
A great feast was held, and there was much rejoicing. Seijin clumsily attempted to chat up Lady Glissandell, but was too drunk and made a fool of himself. In the morning, the elf lady asked the party to accompany her back to Arundil and help in the war against the hobgoblins and gnolls. She said they would leave once they had discovered what had become of Meldar and the man from the sky....

Episode 39 - Trouble with Earworms
Kel-Drakkar's armour and shield were taken by Ramas, and his dread mace was melted down and destroyed. The following day, the clean-up continued and the party recovered from the battle. That evening, a great feast was held, and there was much rejoicing. The Dwarf King made a brief appearance, fresh from battle and slightly smoking, and delivered a box of medals. These were presented to the party members, along with another band of honour.
In the morning, most of the party awoke with severe hangovers, especially Ramas, who was not used to drinking with dwarves. Tarik was fine, and seemed to be able to drink more than ever with no ill effects. The party discussed the Meldar problem with Lady Glissandell, and she was able to locate the rogue cleric using her magic. The party set off in the carpet to find him.
Meldar was camped by a river with Jax, the man they had rescued from the crashed ship. They were pleased to see the party, but appeared to be wearing strange gauntlets. Rimir attempted to enchant them, but Jax somehow sensed he was up to something and suddenly activated his gauntlet, causing a strange protective carapace to cover his body. Meldar also similarly transformed, and both attacked. Tarik pummelled at them, and received a lot of punishment in return, with Jax moving very quickly and Meldar proving increadibly strong and tough. Meldar's suit fired corrosive wasps at the others, and Jax's tried to entrap them with a sticky net. Eventually, Jesus was able to knock out Meldar, after most of his armour had been destroyed by heavy blows from Gragga and Tarik, and when the party concentrated their attacks on Jax, he also was subdued by Tarik.
Seijin discovered silver slug-like creatures in the ears of both of them, and when they awoke they were confused why they had attacked the party, seemingly having been controlled by the slugs. They admitted to handing over the crystals to the 'visitors' and receiving the gauntlets in return. When questioned about the Vilak, Jax explained that they were the enemies of his people, and were masters of mind control and strange organic technology. Rimir carefully destroyed the silver slugs before they could do any more harm.
The party returned to the dwarf stronghold. Seijin wanted to be the first to tell the elf lady of their adventures, and managed to outrun Rimir's broomstick in his wolf form. Glissandell and Borg were once again pleased with the party's efforts, and pleased to have Meldar back. Eager to return to the elf lands and help with the war against the gnolls and hobgoblins, Glissandell created a portal for her and the party to travel through, and they all set off to their next adventure...

Yay! Seijin is insanely keen to get up north and find out what's happening in the Great Forest and if his family is safe. And OOC - I have just had a thought... - will the needle blights come back changed next time I summon them after I cast plant growth on them? The most valuable thing that could happen to them is that they become capable of doing magical damage...
