Starting a thread so we can discuss events in character and everyone has access to it.
Tarik: Right lads! Rule fucking one, do not split up.
Rule two, check all strange loners to see if they will transform into creepy monsters in disguise before following them anywhere. We're 2 to 1 on lone humans trying to kill us, 3 if you count that ugly rat theif. Can't chance it.
Any other suggestions?

Graggar REALLY needs to remember that he can change his storm aura, and doesn't HAVE to burn everyone around him every damn time...

When you select this path at 3rd level, you emanate a stormy, magical aura while you rage. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction, but not through total cover.
Your aura has an effect that activates when you enter your rage, and you can activate the effect again on each of your turns as a bonus action. Choose desert, sea, or tundra. Your aura's effect depends on that chosen environment, as detailed below. You can change your environment choice whenever you gain a level in this class finish a short or long rest.
If your aura's effects require a saving throw, the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.
Desert. When this effect is activated, all other creatures in your aura take 2 fire damage each. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3 at 5th level, 4 at 10th level, 5 at 15th level, and 6 at 20th level.
Sea. When this effect is activated, you can choose one other creature you can see in your aura. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw. The target takes 1d6 lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 2d6 at 10th level, 3d6 at 15th level, and 4d6 at 20th level.
Tundra. When this effect is activated, each creature of your choice in your aura gains 2 temporary hit points, as icy spirits inure it to suffering. The temporary hit points increase when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3 at 5th level, 4 at 10th level, 5 at 15th level, and 6 at 20th level.

Now then chaps: I have being giving some thought on what we should do if we were attacked by a flying creature - particularly one that did not need to land to hurt us, but had it's own ranged weapons.
This is what I have come up with so far:
- I take Tariks new staff - I wildshape into a mouse - Rook picks me up and carries me to the flying creature, and lets me go over it's wing - I wildshape into a direwolf and do my best to maim it's wing - when that inevitably fails I revert to my normal shape, convert the weapon into a naginata, shove it as far as I can into the beasts wing, and then activate its immovable feature - that should rip its wing off nicely and force it to land... - all I have to do is survive the whole thing...
Anyone got any improvements or can spot any obvious flaws?

Unless dire wolves have claws, it will throw you from it's back first chance it gets. If the plan were to work, you would immediately plumit along with said Dragon, in your half elf shape without any wild shapes to change into for a HP barrier. Tarik has also thought about this, but beyond a catapult firing a monk boulder into the dragons maw, he dosen't have any viable options.

I think we need to be careful of being too strategically efficient. Us as characters don't know Graggar has other rage auras. Tarik is getting pissed about being burned every fight but he will suck it up because it's just Graggar. So long as we're using our abilities and items as our characters would do, jobs a good un.

Might have a spell that can help. Hideous laughter. Only issue is range.

Seijin brews up a nice mug of something hot for everyone - whatever it is that they prefer - and adds the usual spices in it.
"So - you know what we were talking about - whether to go hit the other two temples for the pieces of the heart, or go back to Crag Crorgar to help with the siege? - well - to me, I feel as if I have a duty to the lady Glissandel... - I mean she gave us this (he holds up the Amulet of the Moon with his thumb) which has allowed me to summon the blights, which has helped massively in the past 2 fights. So - I feel an obligation to go to the temples before we go back to Crorgar.
Whats everyone else think?"

Tarik, alternating drinking between tea and ale.
"Glissandel saved our lives and there is a debt there, I'll admit that. But Crag Crorgar is where Dwarf blood has been spilled and will be spilled again. When one Dwarf goes to war, we all do. It pulls at ma bones to let them fight and not be there with em."
Tarik looks distant for a moment.
"Still, we could save a lot of our kin by taking down that flying bastard and his pet lizard... How long will it take us to get to the other temples and back?"

Seijin looks at his dwarf comrade with respect, and raises his mug in the salute used by comrades who have shed blood together.
"If we hit them hard and fast, like we have been doing so far, I reckon it'd take" - he looks up in the air, counting under his breath... "probably two full days, with the traveling, preparation, fight itself, and recovery time..."
"But, think upon THIS Tarik-san" he said, lapsing into the customs of his mothers race for a moment - a sure sign of how deeply this decision weighed upon him "when we get all 4 pieces of the heart together, then we have fulfilled the task set upon us by the Lady Glissandel... - which is the absolute best time to call her with this" - he touches the Pendant of the Moon on its chain around his neck "and tell her the task is done. Upon knowing that, do you think she would refuse our boon? - to travel to Crag Crorgar to help the dwaves in their fight? - and what's more: what better chance does she have of calling the black dragon rider out than destroying his heart in the middle of a battle that is wiping out his orc army?"
"I tell you this, Tarik of the Hammerhands: stand with us and destroy the greater threat first, and I will lay before you the bodies of 20 orc scum. Just let us deal with the biggest threat first."

Tarik laughs loudly and speaks with a broad grin.
"I ain't leaving ya skinny elven arse lad. We've been through too much together for that. Where one of us goes, we all go.
As for laying 20 orc bodies at my feet, keep um and pile am high. I'll av made my own mound of the filth. And I'd wager when all this is said and done, I can stand on my mound and look ya tall bugger dead in the eye."
Tariks tone changes to a serious one.
"Crag Crorgar won't be the end of this fight. We have these damn crystals and dragon lords to worry about. The more we take from the orcs, the more our races have to bargain with. That should be our main focus. Killing the big git, taking out the orc commanders and depriving them of these crystals.
The Dwarfs attack in the morning. Within two days Crag Crorgar will be ours again or it won't. That battle will be over. We could save a lot of lives fighting with em. Crack some orc captains skulls too. But would we win a battle to lose the war? I see the sence ya making Seijin lad and ya not wrong..."
Tarik spits on the ground.
"Fuckin bargains and meetings and time!!!"
Tarik punches the wall of the orc temple.
"I will be having words with these dragon lords and my dwarven king to boot. What say the rest of you?"

"The temples and the pieces of the heart first, and then Crag Crorgar for me too."

Got an idea. May not work but if it does could give you an extra edge. Next time you're sparring I'll drop a little spice into the mix. First one to figure it out wins. Try not to hurt each other too bad.
@steve Drop a silent image of darkness on the pair. Ostensibly fighting in darkness with disadvantage to hit. Anyone breaking/disbelieving the illusion is attacking from cover and gets advantage.
Illusions normally have an automatic success or failure depending on non-interaction or interaction respectively. Interaction normally lacks versimilitude causing the illusion to fail but in this case versimilitude is maintained. Phantasms normally have an int save but act directly on the mind.
So does silent image work as planned in sparring?
