Since I'm currently in the process of writing a little one-shot adventure for an upcoming 'zine, may I ask if folks would mind play-testing it sometime in the next couple of months (around Halloween might be nice - as I'm going with a bit of a horror theme).
There's no rush though (I'm only about halfway done) ...but if we get a week were a couple of folks are missing, it would be cool to roll it out (with 3 to 5 pre-generated characters), and see how it goes.
Sound like a plan?

Sounds good to me: perhaps as a filler game?

and to be honest it's good to play something outside our traditional comfort zone - and one-shots are definitely the way to do this: if we like it then we can always play more.
any more details on what it's like?

any more details on what it's like? The playtest is just for an 'adventure' (that might feature in an upcoming product), not the 'system' (just in case there was any confusion). So it will be one-shot AoS game, I'll hand out some pre-gens (that you can customise slightly), and then you'll be off on a little adventure! But I'm aiming for less of a 'kill things and take their stuff' feel, and more of a 'Shit! We're doomed' feel. However, it might not work out very well (as an early derailment could ruin it) ...hence why I'd like to see how it goes before releasing it into the wild
