So... - you now how my backstory says I am loaded...?
Would it be possible to suggest that the family has secure "bug out" locations to use in case of civil emergencies? - and that I have the entrance codes to one of them?
What I am thinking is (what from the outside) looks like a shabby warehouse somewhere, which on the inside is kitted out with basic bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and canned / preserved food. Basically a place to hideout in emergencies, which she will cheerfully decide certainly applies here, and is a place for the whole lot of us to hangout in.
I'll even offer to draw the floorplans if that'll sweeten the deal!

joking aside... - is it gonna be possible to blag stuff from our background info and use it as roleplaying hooks... - or will it be kinda ignored?

joking aside... - is it gonna be possible to blag stuff from our background info and use it as roleplaying hooks... - or will it be kinda ignored? Short answer - yes, within reason. Long answer - I would like the game to focus on super-powers rather than background stuff, so I am deliberately trying to play down that aspect. Both you and Dave have used your background points to buy money or contacts, which is fine, but over use of those will shift the game away from the interesting bits IMHO, and is also not that fun for the others. I put in the background rules so that there was a way of choosing 'rich' without it compromising the super-power choices. In hindsight I maybe should have just left it out. To clarify your 'loaded' status: I see that as a very well off family, nice house, lots of expensive cars, successful company, etc. You could afford to fly anywhere in the world. But even rich families don't have stocked bolt holes and panic rooms unless they are ultra-rich or nutty. So you are rich, but not uber-rich. Hope that is okay.

cool - was trying to go for the secure location as it is what the ultra rich would do - and as I have the most expensive version of the background I thought I could justify it - and because it would give us a secure base to operate from... - but as that doesn't fit in with the direction of the rest of the campaign, the rest of the party can sod off and I will book into a hotel on my own using good old cash!

Actually, on second thoughts, you are right - having some sort of base would be a good way of keeping the party together. I still don't think that you would have a special 'bug out' location, though. How about this? Your Dad has bought a big house for you to live in while you are a student, with the intention of using it as a bit of an investment opportunity - he knows where you are and can rent it out to some other students, so he can make a profit and also keep his eye on who you are living with. Only no-one else lives there yet, or it's only just ready?

sounds good - it's only just been finished and I was due to move into it in the new year and let him know would be living with me, but I get in there earlier than planned, so it is not quite finished: there's beds and furniture and carpets but no food or pots and pans in the kitchen - that kind of thing.
Shall we say - a 5 bed Victorian terrace house?

Shall we say - a 5 bed Victorian terrace house? Yep. There are six of you, but Mr Dead doesn't sleep so you could just put him in a cupboard or something.
