Hi folks. Dave has raised some ideas about mental health (see other thread).
Also, last session I felt that the dodge rules didn't quite work, it seemed too easy to dodge, so I have made some changes.
Old system: you can spend an action to dodge or parry and add +1d10 to DF, with an additional +1 to +4 if you have a weapon or shield to parry with (in melee). Free parry with a shield (doesn't cost an action).
New system: you can spend an action to dodge or parry and add +1d6 to DF if dodging. If you have a light weapon +1d6, medium weapon +1d8, two-handed weapon +1d10 (same die as the basic damage). Shields give you a free +1d10. Secondary weapons also give you a free parry.

Steve: can you explain healing to the hard of thinking like me?
If I heal a human do I still need to make a "to hit" roll? If so - what target number? And if so - is it this target number that is harder by 2 for alien species?
Cheers!

Hmmm, I have made a bit of a mistake here. I was getting mixed up between medics and cell control.
I am gonna say that the medic rules stay as they are, i.e. you have to make a first aid roll to heal 1-6hp (which actually increases to 2d6 at second level). This roll suffers the -2 alien penalty.
With cell control it works more like a spell so you don't have to roll for it to work but it costs power points of course. I am going to apply the -2 to the number of hp it cures instead. So if you roll badly it might not cure any hp.
Hope that makes sense.

Also I had an idea: when you go up a a level and can use a higher level heal, perhaps instead of a greater numerical range of possible healing instead you had the same possible range, but the minimum healing you could do would be your level number... Just an idea...
