AEGIS: Aetheric Evaluation, Grading, Inquisition and Sortilage founded in 1876 as an agency of the Cabinet Office.
In the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and ninety AEGIS is currently looking to recruit brave citizens of the Empire, extraordinary gentlemen, and yes possibly even ladies, to investigate ongoing and unusual crises across the dominion of the British Empire. Most recently disappearances and reports of "goblins" in the Metropolitan area of London. "Goblins" of all things, what a preposterous notion, but we are here to investigate these things and investigate we shall!
There are several candidate rule systems: - Chaosium Basic Roleplaying - Generic Version of the Chaosium rules.
- Call of Cthulhu 7th edition - the most recent version of the Chaosium rules that I own.
- Year Zero Engine - the SRD version of the rules in Alien (https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1hJbU3umOMxQB7voJw8dj3UJMnABmON81j9cGxX_JOWc/mobilebasic#).
- "new" World of Darkness - using the core rules PC's are human.
I've attempted to add a poll, we'll see if that works.

If I do run this with the Year Zero Engine, I'd like to use only one colour of dice. Thinking of how to change the bane mechanic, maybe alternate between damage to equipment and moo damage to the character.
Also thinking of having a Body / Mind damage track rather than one for each attribute.
Just gonna let the poll run for a week, if anyone wants a different system get your vote in.
I have the Pulp Cthulhu book for 7e.
I have Second Sight for WoD.
Basic Roleplaying has psychic powers and there should bee options to Pulp it up.

Year Zero Engine won the poll, got some ideas for a luck mechanic to make it more pulpy.
I have some other minor rules changes in mind.
I will attempt to follow K. I. S. S. (keep it simple stupid) to avoid unnecessary complexity as the charm of the system is it's simplicity.
My changes will make some things simpler and should result in more robust characters.
