Party Rules:
The December One Shot which I can now announce is going to be FANTASY STEAMPUNK.
So, using base mechanics of regular dnd but flavour as you will. Ping me any questions if you have any. Level 10 characters. +1 weapons/armour as you're level 10 but you can also have two magical items. One uncommon and one rare. Attuned if you want, up to you. No game breaking items please. If you want to ask about anything specific please dm me! To make things simple, use general weapons/armour and describe as you see fit e.g. bow and arrow would be more like fantasy hawkeye, swords can be reskinned to fit within the genre and magic users are within the world anyway so that's all good. Guns work too, if you have the right class/feats selected. You all have great imaginations, I'm sure it'll work out splendid.
Basically, Artificers/Mages have essentially made technological advancements in this world post "Second Calamity". It's a new age and some factions are better equipped than others. None of you belong to a faction but you may have had dealings, that’s up to you. I’ll provide faction briefs and a world overview.
Add your PC's to tropes town with "#" in front of the name so I know it's for that game and I can only ask that no one peak at other's character sheets for the sake of narrative, please/thank you.
Lemme know privately what you're thinking as I don't want any of these characters being shared before the game. Not being a dick, it's just that none of you have met in game and I will be reserving a portion for you to introduce yourselves properly, in character. Although, I'm happy for you guys to mention your classes if you don't want to clash.
Think of it as a brand new campaign! Rolling with the intro part, I will be encouraging RP so have a think about your personalities as much as your classes. I want people to talk to each other and really immerse within the world as your PC.
In general, please nothing nothing home brew so that I can keep track of abilities etc and race wise, as long as it falls within the realm of believability for a campaign and not super gimicky, it’s all good. So, no Lizardfolk, Centaurs or anything on four legs. Feel free to send me your character sheet when you’ve finished so I can keep track and let you know if anything crops up that we may need to iron out. Should be fine but just in case! Again, if you have any questions whatsoever please message to the group if it will benefit all or just me if it is specific to your character as I don’t want to spoil anything.
Brief on creation:
+1 weapons/shield/armour. Uncommon.
Flavour your arms/armour however you want to fit in with the setting. Still using base
mechanics but re-skinning for steampunk if you want. Not everything is steampunk in this world, it’s still a fantasy setting
Two additional magical items. One uncommon and one rare. What your character would likely have to benefit you as a level 10. Any questions, message me.
Race - Believable in a campaign setting but just message me if you have a question. (Lizardfolk and Yuan Ti aren’t gonna be sharing an ale with an elf in the pub in this world).
Think of your personality as roleplaying will be a part of this game. Not everyone can do accents so that’s not important, just embody your character and well, care about them and brining them to life
I’ll add to this if I think of anything else and let you know in the group chat if it’s been updated!
