Episode 1 - The Hospital
Confined to a ward in Birmingham State Hospital, Alabama, four men overheard news reports of strange, walnut-shaped green crystals appearing all over the world, as if from nowhere. The next day, the TV reported that the crystals had evaporated into a green spore-like mist. Very quickly, anyone contacting this was turned into a flesh-eating zombie. In less than an hour, the world seemed to descend into chaos as the plague spread.
Our heroes decided to escape the ward and armed themselves with drip stands, fire-extinguishers and sheets. They encountered a zombie nurse, and Joe barged into it with a wheeled bed, tapping it against the wall. The others tried to attack it, but were not altogether successful, as two more zombies rounded the corner. Pushing the bed ahead of them, they knocked them out of the way and progressed up the corridor.
Encountering more groups of zombies, the group trapped more under the bed, then climbed over it and headed for the exit. Joe grabbed a fire axe from the stairwell, and they found the ambulance station. Only one had it's keys inside, as well as two trapped undead. Joe dispatched these, and they drove the vehicle into the street.
Unable to progress far due to the huge number of crashed cars and gridlock, they mounted the pavement and managed to ground the ambulance on a hydrant. Abandoning the vehicle, they headed for a cookware shop. After dealing with two more zombies, they armed themselves with knives, frying pans and juicers.
Across the street they found a sports shop. Downstairs were baseball bats and sports gear, which they employed as armour. Upstairs, in the hunting section, a young man threatened them with a rifle. They managed to talk him into joining them however, and then tooled up with guns and bows, as well as camping gear.
Further up the street they tried a gun shop, but two men were holed up in there and would not budge. Using another vehicle, they reached a bridge, then abandoned it again, crossed a railway line and found a 4x4 to leave the city and head towards a farm. Heading out, they came across a family trapped in their car, surrounded by walkers. Using their own vehicle to run over most of the zombies, they trapped the rest and succeeded in rescuing them.
Now better armed, with 5 rescued survivors, they drove off towards the farm...

I'm guessing the only name you can remember (ironically) is Joe Average* (*pronounced Have-Raj ...and for the benefit of James - he has an average value of 5 in all his stats ).

Episode 2 - The Diner
Further up the road, the survivors came across a biker siphoning petrol, who was allowed to join their gang. A short distance away, they found a van crashed into a car, with other vehicles behind it. They made some noise to attract the zombies, then ran them over with their vehicle. Don checked the back of the van, and was attacked by three more zombies, but he and the others managed to kill them all.
After commandeering more vehicles, the survivor group consisted of: Don (Dave) and Joe (Kris) in a 4x4, Sarah (Tony) and her family in a car, Bill (James) and his bike in a pickup, and Del (the guy from the sports shop), Chuck (Martin) and Boris (Lawrence) in an estate car.
They carried on and came upon a gas station and diner. Bill and Joe entered to turn on the gas pumps, while Don attracted the zombie occupant by tapping on the window. After dispatching the zombie, Bill found a shotgun, and a baby carrier to hold his fire axe.
Using the same technique, the group lured zombies out of the diner and picked them off. Bill entered, and as the zombies approached he backed out of the door. One zombie smashed through the door glass, but Bill's axe, and shots from Joe and Sarah eventually took out the four occupants. When Bill went behind the counter, he was attacked by a zombie baby, and had to stamp on it, crushing the thing's skull, which freaked him out a bit. Three more zombies in the kitchen were lured out and destroyed, allowing the group to load up with food supplies from the diner's store. Joe found the keys to an empty lorry, and Sarah's husband was able to drive it, adding to the convoy of vehicles.
The next stop was Dick's Gun Emporium, but heavily armed occupants had already locked it down, and could not be persuaded to trade. Eventually the group arrived at Don's farm. One of the zombiefied farm-hands had been eating a cow, and Don took him out. At the farmhouse, they approached and made noise, which caused Billy Bob to smash through the screen door and try to attack Don, followed by Joanne, another of Don's family. Don, Bill, Joe and Sarah destroyed the two, but not before Don had taken a scratch to the chest.
Around the back of the house, they could see two more zombies through the glass. While they were debating how to kill them without damaging Don's precious conservatory, they heard banging from the cellar doors. Thinking that he could step back and easily shoot the occupant, Don opened the doors and was surprised when a crazed zombie leapt out at him. This thing was much tougher and faster than the others, and took two gunshots and axe wounds before it knocked Don down and tore at him with it's claws, leaving him unconscious and bleeding. Joe and Bill finally killed the thing, and were left wondering what to do with the critically injured Don....

Episode 3 - The Farm
Bill tried his best to clean Don's wounds with the medical supplies from the hospital. Sarah knew what to do, and managed to get Don to come around. They helped him on to the back of the pickup, where he rested while they checked the rest of the house.
Bill, Sarah and Chuck went from room to room, checking for zombies and supplies. The ground floor was clear except for the two in the conservatory. They lured one near to a closed door, and Sarah shot it through the door. As it blocked the way, they went around to the back of the house, opened the sliding doors, and Sarah took out the other one with an accurate shot.
Upstairs, they found a zombiefied Sally in a bedroom, who was also easily dispatched. The last room contained Grandma, who was not a zombie, but blasted away with a blunderbuss, bringing down half the ceiling on her head. They reunited her with her grandson, and gave her a bottle of whiskey to keep her quiet.
Checking the cellar, they discovered a corpse with it's skull cracked and brain eaten, and surmised this was the work of the crazy zombie which attacked Don. Also in the cellar were storerooms filled with food, wine and tools. After questioning Don about the possibility of a hidden room, they found a secret door into a sex dungeon where Matt's girlfriend, Francesca, was restrained in a compromising position. She was freed and brought up to speed on the current situation. At the sight of the mutilated corpse of her boyfriend, she passed out.
As they headed back upstairs, there was a tremendous crash, and they saw that a jumbo jet had crashed in the next field! Don, Chuck, Sarah and Bill rode out to check the crash site, and discovered the side of the aircraft had torn away, and a horde of zombies was pouring out into the fields. They noticed that the pilot was trapped at the cockpit door, so they drove through the horde and allowed him to jump onto the truck's roof. He missed his footing and fell to the ground, but made it into the back of the truck with Bill's help and Don's driving skills. He introduced himself as Captain Over, and they all headed back to the farmhouse. After barricading the ground floor, they retired to bed at the end of their first day in zombieland...

I've taken the time while there is still internet to write down in a notebook the names and addresses of: - gun stores - camping and outdoor stores - supermarket distribution centers - in the surrounding 20 or so miles.
Also - I will note down places that are likely to have good walls: mainly prisons and military bases. And while I think about it - any nearby islands that have buildings on them too!

Good gravy! - tomorrow will be my second session of Spore and I have't yet created a Hero Machine image of my character! What the hell is going on here!
And one snippet you missed in the synopsis: we did NOT drive back to the farmhouse in a straight line: we initially drove away from it and then in a big loop so that they would not just follow us and we would be confronted with a horde in the morning...

Good gravy! - tomorrow will be my second session of Spore and I have't yet created a Hero Machine image of my character! What the hell is going on here! Don't bother. You probably won't live much longer. And one snippet you missed in the synopsis: we did NOT drive back to the farmhouse in a straight line: we initially drove away from it and then in a big loop so that they would not just follow us and we would be confronted with a horde in the morning... Yeah, yeah, whatever. The zombies will definitely be totally confused by that and there will absolutely not be a massive horde outside tomorrow.

Episode 4 - The Pharmacy
Don wasn't feeling too good after exerting himself on the trip out to the plane crash, and his wounds had opened up and become infected. The others were worried that he might turn, so locked him in the sex dungeon overnight. Posting watches, they retired to bed and managed to get some rest despite observing the gradual amassing of more zombies around the farmhouse.
In the morning, Don's wounds were worse, and he was in dire need of antibiotics. Despite his protests, the decision was made to pack up and leave the farm, and head off to a nearby health centre where there was a pharmacy. Boris volunteered to lead the zombies away, and drove north, making lots of noise and allowing the hordes to follow him. The others loaded their supplies into the truck, along with the injured Don. After a short drive they arrived at the health centre and met up with Boris, who had beaten them to it.
The main foyer was full of undead, so they went around to the back of the pharmacy section and tried to crowbar the security shutter open. This proved difficult, and Joe got up on the roof to try and find another way in, but in vain. Eventually Bill finally got the shutter open, and they cautiously entered the pharmacy store, with Boris in front armed with his meat cleaver. A corpse on the floor had had it's brain eaten by a zombie, which leapt at Boris and clawed at him ferociously. He and Bill hacked at it and eventually stopped it, but not before it had clawed Boris's chest.
The pharmacy store was stripped clean, and the survivors prepared to leave. Joe wondered if there were any doctors left alive in the place, and so they checked the windows. They found one living person, and broke through the window to rescue him. His name was Ravi, and he was indeed a doctor. He was able to change Don's dressings and confirm that the antibiotics seemed to have taken him out of danger. They resolved to head to Sarah's father-in-law's ranch, but Ravi wanted to check on his family in the next town.
On the outskirts of Wadley, they offered to scout out Ravi's house, to spare him the task of facing his zombiefied family. After finding nothing downstairs, they discovered his wife and younger son lying dead on the bed, with their brains eaten. In the boy's bedroom they found a drone which they thought might come in useful. When they opened the last room they were attacked by the crazed zombie-boy. Bill kept it at bay with a chair, while Joe and Boris hacked at it, while Sarah shot it. They managed to put it down without any injuries, and heard a noise from the wardrobe which turned out to be Ravi's daughter Meera, who had survived by hiding. After an emotional reunion with her father, the group left for the ranch.
They headed into the forest and found the isolated ranch, which looked quiet. Inside was the walking corpse of Sarah's mother-in-law, who was quickly dispatched. Her husband was nowhere to be seen, leaving the group of survivors free to settle in to their new home....

Once Sarah has got past the intital grief about her husband, she will get any bodies taken out of the house. Getting people to take great care with them, as we have not seen what, if anything, happens to the recently deceased.
She does want to experiment though, especially with the guy who was chainsawed. Wants him and the other killers bodies lined up outside and the tree-felling machine driven onto their legs. Sarah is not sure what to do with the other corpses right now, but knows they need to be watched, and maybe confined.

we covered this after you had to go: the one who got chainsawed turned, probably due to infection on the chainsaw; the others didn't turn.
In character you were in a private room with your kids trying to deal with it.

Also;
A thought occurred to me just about dangling a corpse off the tree-felling maching as bait for the attached chainsaw...
And;
What are we doing with the dead? As in corpses... I'm thinking mainly the heads. Are we just going to bury them or destroy the brain first?
